If you are on holiday in Bude, North Cornwall – it’s well worth taking a trip into Cornwall and visiting the Eden Project, one of the South West’s main visitor attractions and one of the World’s largest greenhouses!
The Eden Project features impressive domes packed with plants and species that are collected from all around the world. Each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The domes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The first dome emulates a tropical environment and the second a Mediterranean environment.
The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, some 3 miles from St Austell in Cornwall. Approximately 1 hour drive / 39 miles from Bude.
